Events

Event scripts are automatically triggered in the system when data is altered. These types of scripts are not explicitly run by the user in any way.

Events exist on every data object in Vitruvi, and can have scripts attached to the add, update and delete actions.

For example, on Work Item Update, execute a script that when this item has its status marked as complete, automatically mark all predecessors as complete if they are not already.

Event scripts are most commonly used for automating workflows, validating data to company specific business rules, or triggering email notifications to necessary parties.
